Europen Counter-Extremism Measures
The nations of Europe are multicultural and multiethnic. Their diversity is stimulating and enriching but sadly also tends to provoke political divergence, which may lead to extremist behaviour that is in stark contrast with the principles that guided the ambitions behind the creation of Europe and the philosophy of constitutional states.
In recent years many European countries have experienced violent events, bombings and murders motivated by racism, xenophobia, homophobia and anti-Semitism.
Certain political parties, even those within governments, exhibit extremist behaviour.
